Far North Inclusive Sports Collective (FNISC)

The Far North Inclusive Sports Collective was established to address the need for greater inclusion and accessibility in sport and physical activity across the Far North Queensland region. Recognising that no single organisation could achieve this alone, the collective approach brings together the expertise and resources of diverse stakeholders, including people with lived experience, sporting clubs, health organisations, universities, and community groups. This collaborative model ensures a comprehensive and sustainable approach to promoting inclusive sport and physical activity, addressing systemic barriers, and creating pathways for al lindividuals to participate and thrive.

Our goal, is that by 2032, The Far North will be recognised as a leader in inclusive sport and physical activity, where everyone, regardless of ability, background, or location, can participate, thrive, and feel a sense of belonging. Our communities will be welcoming, diverse, and empowered through accessible opportunities, First Nations leadership, and pathways that support health, rehabilitation, and excellence.
